In Social Studies class, we are learning about the Sumerians in Mesopotamia. Sumerians lived in the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates river. There are a lot of different things that we've learned about Sumerians. We learned about how a lot of things that we use today have started from there. Even some of the first civillization's evidence was found there, as well as the plow, instruments, and different methods for farming and cooking. We had a test and an exam coming up including Mesopotamia.
A popular Mesopotamian ruler was Gilgamesh of Ur, who believed that he was two thirds God, and one third human. He had built magnificent ziggurats and temples and was known as physically, beautifully, and immensly strong. It's also said that Gilgamesh had a story similiar to Noah from the Bible.
